After much deliberation, changing of minds and worrying wether it is right, today is the day I am finally letting Sarah (my daughter) put my website on line.
Open studios is over and it is back to work in the studio and getting ready for a fundraising event there on Saturday, more of that later.

I also have to get myself ready for my annual week at the NEC doing the masterclass at the Quilt festival, this year it is eco dying and indigo  and I will let you know how that goes.
meanwhile Sarah has decided that my studio is the perfect place to practice!

The Fundraiser went ahead despite the awful weather, we left the decisions late as we could but by 2pm it was obvious that we weren't going to have our pretty afternoon tea in the field. All the garden furniture was loaded onto the truck and the garage was laid out for afternoon tea, it was a bit of a scramble, but once everyone was seated and had a pot of tea in front of them all went well.
We would never have managed if our lovely friend Kim hadn't manned the kitchen for us making endless pots of tea and coffee and washing up.
I now have immense respect for waitresses everywhere!
A big thank you to all who came and helped raise £587.60 for Nickys giving fund, this is sponsorship for sarah who is doing the wye Valley Challenge and walking from Chepstow to Hereford in one go, a distance of 100 K
Thanks also go to those who made cakes and to The Pantry in St Briavels for supplying the cream at a discount for our cream teas.
